Don’t just take it from me.

Kind words from the award-winning writer, comedian, keynote speaker and filmmaker. James spent 15 years at British GQ magazine, interviewing everyone from Jerry Seinfeld to Scarlett Johansson. In 2017 he co-founded Edit Media, a multifaceted media brand.

“I pride myself on finding and nurturing new talent and in twenty years working in magazine publishing, I have met very few people as efficient, reliable, honest, hardworking and skilled as Morgan Leet.”

    Fundy Footpath Adventure

Documenting my adventures for others to follow checks all my boxes — relatable, (hopefully) inspiring, authentic, and meaningful. I wrote about my adventure on the Fundy coastline.

"Our excitement grew throughout the drive to Fundy Trail Parkway, as we sped past cliffs with views of the ocean horizon, giving us a taste of the hike to come. You forget all about the body aches, cold nights, Aquatab tasting water and freeze-dried food, and all that's left is the promise of that view."

Tofino isn't a well-kept secret by any means. It draws in tourists from around the world, who flock to the sandy stretches of coastline and take in the uniquely beautiful West Coast views. The small town in B.C. is idyllic in the summer, to say the least, but in the off-season a different type of beauty rolls in.

Read Carpet Coverage

I covered the 2023 and 2024 JUNO Awards, working the red carpet on Canada’s biggest night for music.

Quick thinking, poor singing (on my part), and having fun were big parts of the night. It put my interviewing skills to the test, and it paid off.

Video Interviews

The challenge of connecting with people in a short amount of time gives me a thrill. In a sea full of interviews I make it my goal to stand out and make content that will succeed while balancing authenticity.

I’ve had the opportunity to interview celebrities like Katherine Heigl, personalities like The Property Brothers, Netflix stars, and inspirational social scientists like Ingrid Waldron.

Testimonials

  • Daniel Milligan, Manager at Narcity Media

"Morgan has a great work ethic and is prepared to throw herself into all manner of tasks. She has a superb attitude, willingness to listen and learn, and applies that to her future work. She is a team player and, during my time working with her, some of the projects and stories she worked on served as an inspiration to other writers.

Her willingness to go the extra mile on stories was undoubtedly one of the reasons for the success of the team that I worked with her on. She also showed she can excel in mentoring others, offering support, sharing feedback and helping guide junior writers for the greater good of the team.

In summary, Morgan would be a great addition to any team she joins, who would be lucky to have her."

  • James Mullinger, Editor and Co-Foudner of [EDIT] Media

"Morgan Leet is a tremendously talented young journalist. I pride myself on finding and nurturing new talent and in twenty years working in magazine publishing, I have met very few people as efficient, reliable, honest, hardworking and skilled as Morgan Leet.

She started at [EDIT] magazine on a temporary basis but swiftly made herself indispensable. She immediately fit in and excelled greatly at every task she was given. Within a matter of months of starting the job I entrusted her writing cover stories, interviewing high profile business leaders, creatives and activists, as well as doing picture research for all sections of the main magazine.

She has also worked as a production coordinator on the television shows that we produce and has done an exemplary job, impressing all members of the crew as well as the on-screen talent/guests. Her creative abilities are a credit to her commitment to a long and illustrious career in media, journalism or consumer or customer publishing.

Her enthusiasm, spirit and intelligence are far greater than her years and she continues to impress me daily. She also amazed me with her ability to learn things without them even being explained to her. Having the tenacity to do things without being asked is a rare quality but it is one that Morgan has in spades. I have no hesitation in recommending her for freelance work or indeed any writing work from press releases to political speeches.

She is a meticulous researcher, a fantastic and highly skilled writer, social media wizard and she would be an enormous asset to any magazine or newspaper who hires her."
